Monday night was all about swimming in this area, and The Herald is here to get you caught up on what you may have missed.
Prep Boys Swimming
Evansville Memorial 100, Jasper 86: The Wildcats (4-1) took their first loss on the boys side this year, when they could not get the win Monday at home against Evansville Memorial. They did manage three first-place individual winners with Amos Buschkoetter in the 200 freestyle, Noah Wagner in the 500 freestyle and Bennett Schmitt in diving. Jasper finished second in all three relays. The other second-place finishers the Wildcats produced were Kadon Hurm in diving, Connor Nolan in the 100 butterfly, Noah Wagner in the 200 individual medley and Jack Henke in both the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle.
Prep Girls Swimming
Evansville Memorial 107, Jasper 78: The Wildcats (3-2) also dropped a loss on the girls side. Jasper could not get any individual or relay wins. However, the Wildcats managed to get some individuals placing second. Olivia Biggs was runner-up in diving, and so was Madison Matheis in the 500 freestyle. Avery Henke finished second in the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley. Megan Matheis took second in the 100 breaststroke and 200 freestyle. The Wildcats finished second in all three relays.
