Jasper accident leads to damages, no injuries

JASPER — A Saturday accident in Jasper led to damage to two vehicles.

Jasper Police Department officers responded to a crash at 13th and Newton streets. After further investigation, it was determined the first driver failed to yield the right of way when attempting to turn north onto Newton Street from 13th Street. The first driver was struck by Candace Raney, 24, in the rear passenger side.

The first vehicle had $7,000 in damages and Raney’s vehicle had $5,000 in damages. Both were towed due to damage. Neither reported any injuries.
