Janet A. Wood, 66, of Ferdinand, formerly of Velpen, passed away at 1:05 a.m., on Friday, July 12, 2019, at the Golden Living Center in Petersburg.
She was born January 25, 1953, in Huntingburg to Robert and Wilma (Kays) Uppencamp.
Janet was a homemaker and worked at Jasper Rubber.
She enjoyed gardening and playing with the dogs.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James Dotterweich Sr., in 1981; her second husband, David A. Wood, in 2004; two children, Bridget and Terrance Dotterweich; and one brother, Leonard Uppencamp.
She is survived by four sons, James (significant other, Dawn) Dotterweich Jr. of Jasper, Bruce Dotterweich of Holland, Mark (spouse, Sandy) Dotterweich of Ferdinand and Roger Dotterweich of Greenfield; four siblings, Robert Uppencamp of Petersburg, Alice Halstead of Oakland City, Jeanette Wheeler of Ashyre and Michael Uppencamp of Ireland; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 1 to 7 p.m. EDT on Sunday, July 14, 2019, followed by funeral services at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Jason Denton will officiate.
