Jane E. Tanner, 71, Huntingburg, passed away at 12:25 a.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
She was born January 4, 1947, in Huntingburg to Maurice and Edna (Peters) Overbeck.
Jane worked as a seamstress and was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her husband, John Scott Tanner of Huntingburg; her mother, Edna Overbeck of Jasper; two daughters, Susan (Brian) (Davies) Dessauer of Wadesville and Loraine (Brad) (Davies) Garner of Mount Carmel, Illinois; two stepchildren, Shawn (Angie) Tanner of Trenton, Ohio, and Nicole Tanner of Huntingburg; two sisters, Ann (Roger) Fierst of Bloomington and Martha (Larry) Feldmeyer of Huntingburg; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, February 22, 2018, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Burial of her cremains will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. Chaplain Brad Garner will officiate at the service.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 21.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem United Church of Christ or to a favorite charity.
