Jane Ann (Antey) Harter, 84, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.
Jane was born March 22, 1935, in Evansville to the late Edward and Josephine (Laubscher) Antey.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, playing cards and volunteering at Little Sisters of the Poor.
Surviving Jane are two sons and their wives, Jim and Melissa Harter Jr. of Evansville and Jeff and Shirley Harter of Jasper; two sisters, Connie Nord and Etta Caldwell; six grandchildren, Tiffani Carr, Lynnsey Harter, Ashley Schaefer, Lauren Harter, Angela Schlachter and Julie Farrell; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, James Harter Sr. in 1997; by an infant sister; a sister, Carol Parsons; and three brothers, Guy, Jack and Ronnie Antey.
Funeral services for Jane will be held at 1 p.m. CT on Friday, June 7, 2019, at Pierre Funeral Home with Rev. Theodore Tempel officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. CT until service time on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin St., Evansville.
