James “Jim” Gordon Ragains, 87, of French Lick, entered into eternal rest on February 18, 2019, at Springs Valley Meadows.
He was born in Martin County on February 26, 1931, to Rollie and Creasy (Andrews) Ragains. Jim married Marian Hall on September 3, 1955.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bobby Gene and Clarence Ragains; and two sisters, Delores Compton and Maxine Coomer.
Jim was a member of Crystal Community Church, the Phillips-Grigsby American Legion Post 149 in West Baden Springs and French Lick Masonic Lodge F&AM #586.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War and had worked as a concrete mason.
Jim is survived by his wife, Marian Ragains; two sons, Kevin Gordon Ragains (Angela) and Duane Kent Ragains; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren
The Funeral Ceremony will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crystal Community Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 until 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019, and from noon until the time of service on Sunday at the Funeral Home.
