James F. “Jim” Harris, 85, of Huntingburg, passed away at 3:30 a.m., Friday, June 26, 2020, at The Waters of Huntingburg.
He was born October 10, 1934, in Huntingburg, to Glenn and Alberta (Fisher) Harris and married Dolly Mohr on September 28, 1957, at the St. Ferdinand Church.
Jim served in the United States Army and worked at D.M.I. as a resident engineer.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Huntingburg Y.M.I. Club.
Jim enjoyed golfing and was a Green Bay Packers fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; Jack and Steve Harris; and by one sister, Glenda Turpin.
He is survived by his wife, Dolly Harris of Huntingburg; two daughters, Donna (Tom) Uebelhor of Jasper, and Deb Harris of Hermitage, Tennessee; one son, Jim (Bert) Harris of Huntingburg; two sisters, Carolyn (Russ) Klee of Jasper and Shirley Satkamp of Jasper; two sisters-in-law, Cindy Harris of Huntingburg and Rhea Harris of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Huntingburg Y.M.I. Club or The Waters of Huntingburg.
