HUNTINGBURG — A Huntingburg man jailed since August on felony robbery and domestic battery charges after an incident in Huntingburg was named this week in a warrant charging him with crimes against two juveniles.
Walter M. Delgado, 33, 623 Bretz St., Huntingburg, was charged in a Dubois Circuit Court warrant issued last week with Level 5 felony counts of sexual misconduct with a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor (two counts) plus a Level 6 felony count of impersonation of a public servant.
Charging information alleges the offenses involving two female juvenile victims occurred between August and December 2018. Delgado is also alleged to have represented himself as a law enforcement officer to one of the abuse victims.
During an initial court appearance on the new charges Friday, a preliminary plea of not guilty was entered on Delgado’s behalf, his request for pauper counsel was granted and his bond was set at $2,500.
Delgado’s next court appearance was scheduled for Oct. 7.
