Ireland K of C plans Remembrance Walk

IRELAND — The Ireland Knights of Columbus will sponsor the fifth Remembrance Walk on Saturday, May 11.

Participants will walk a course on the St. Mary Catholic Church grounds of less than 1 mile to reflect, honor and remember a loved one who has passed away.

Following the walk, a full breakfast and fellowship will take place in the St. Mary Catholic Church cafeteria. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with the walk starting at 8 a.m. The entry fee is $20, which includes a T-shirt and breakfast. Ages 6 and younger are free, but no shirt is provided.

Registration must be received by May 5 to guarantee a shirt. Entry forms are available from St. Mary Catholic Church, Spud’s Food Mart, Krempp Lumber, Azura Grill & Café or by visiting the Facebook page for WITZ Radio.

All proceeds from the walk will be donated to the Teddy Bear Project, which started in 2013 and has donated nearly 7,000 teddy bears to help comfort hurting children.
