IRELAND — An Ireland boy is hoping to win a pig from a cable television show by receiving the most online votes from the public.
Connor Bowlin, 14, is a finalist in the contest on the RFD-TV network show “Stockshow Confidential.”
The show focuses on the aspects of showing livestock. Connor submitted a video for the contest after it opened in August and now is one of two people in the final round to win the pig.
He is the son of Bonnie and Barry Bowlin and a freshman at Jasper High School. In his video entry, Connor talks about raising animals, his high school, Ireland and 4-H.
People can view Connor’s video and vote for him at http://stockshowconfidential.com/votebarrow.
Online voting ends Dec. 6 and the winner will be announced Dec. 10. Along with getting the pig, the winner will be featured on an episode of the show and receive a free pair of boots and feed for a year.
