GRANDVIEW — Law enforcement agencies who had launched child pornography and child solicitation investigations arrested a Spencer County man Wednesday.
Dalton S. Clark, 23, Grandview, was arrested after Indiana State Police detective squads from the Jasper Post, Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, Cyber Crimes Unit and All Crimes Policing Squad, along with the Spencer County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant.
The Spencer County Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant for Clark’s residence in the course of a child solicitation investigation. A state police detective had also started a child pornography investigation involving Clark, according to police.
Clark was not present at the time of the search, police said. After preliminary examination of items at the scene, police said, Clark, who is currently being charged with child solicitation, sexual misconduct with a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, is expected to be additionally charged with possession of child pornography. Other charges are possible pending further investigation of information learned during forensic exams, according to state police.
Authorities said they took Clark into custody at his place of employment and lodged him at the Spencer County Jail.
In announcing the arrest, police noted all suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
