JASPER — An investigation into a Tuesday battery report resulted in a man’s arrest Thursday on multiple preliminary charges.
The victim in the case is a juvenile.
The investigation by the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrest of Chadwick I. Cox, 46, 6710 E. State Road 164, Celestine.
Authorities booked Cox into the Dubois County Security Center at 2:50 p.m. on preliminary charges of Level 4 felony sexual misconduct with a minor and Level 6 felony sexual battery, criminal confinement and battery.
The Dubois County Department of Child Services assisted.
