Inoperable taillight leads to OWI arrest

From Local Sources

DUBOIS — An inoperable taillight resulted in a Friday traffic stop that ended with an impaired driving arrest.

An Indiana Department of Natural Resources conservation officer stopped a 1999 Chevrolet Venture van driven by Christopher L. Snyder, 63, French Lick, at 3:21 p.m. after noticing the lamp issue at State Road 545 and County Road 725E.

Authorities say Snyder’s blood alcohol content tested .117% at the Jasper Police Station.

Snyder was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 4:57 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated. He posted bond early Saturday morning.
