JASPER — Authorities are preliminarily charging an inmate at the Dubois County Security Center for allegedly punching another inmate.
A jail officer was dispatched to the report of a fight in progress at 9:19 p.m. Tuesday by facility control. An investigation determined Demetrious C. Coleman II, 34, Greencastle, struck another inmate.
The victim declined medical attention, according to authorities.
Coleman, who has been lodged at the security center since Feb. 6, is being preliminarily charged with a misdemeanor count of battery.
