The Indiana Gators fast pitch softball organization will be inducted into the USA Softball of Indiana Hall of Fame at the 43rd annual Hall of Fame banquet in Bloomington this Saturday.

Co-founded by former Jasper High School and Indiana State head softball coach Tom Rupert, the Gators fast pitch organization has been in existence since 2004.

According to Indiana Gator director and college recruitment coordinator Mark Lloyd, the organization now has 22 fast pitch teams in Indiana and over 260 players from ages 10u to 18u. Two of the teams, a 16u and an 18u team, are based in Jasper with Coach Rupert. More than 75 players from Rupert’s past teams have graduated to play college softball.
