Incident involving weapon ends in arrest

JASPER — A report of an incident involving a firearm being pointed Wednesday evening at the Cabby O’Neill Park, 340 W. Sixth St., culminated with an arrest.
The Jasper Police Department was called at 6:28 p.m. when an altercation reportedly resulted in Dylan A. Brown, 19, 306 W. Sixth St., Jasper, pointing a firearm and threatening another male.
Police located Brown in the 500 block of Clay Street and found he had a revolver-style air pistol in his front pants pocket.
The victim and witnesses told police they thought the weapon was an actual firearm.
Brown allegedly took the revolver-style air pistol from another individual’s bedroom without permission.
Authorities booked Brown into the Dubois County Security Center at 12:48 a.m. today on preliminary charges of Level 5 felony intimidation, Level 6 felony theft and misdemeanor pointing a firearm.
