Icy road puts car on its sideFebruary 1, 2019
From Local Sources
JASPER — Icy road conditions factored into a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning east of Jasper.
Tyler S. Berger, 16, St. Anthony, was northbound on the Jasper-Dubois Road in a 2006 Pontiac G6 when the 9:45 a.m. accident occurred 750 feet south of County Road 190N, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
A deputy said Berger lost control of the car in a curve because of ice on the roadway.
The Pontiac slid to the west, going left of center and off the west side the road. The car went down into a deep ditch and stopped on its side.
A Uebelhor & Sons wrecker towed the car because of disabling damage, according to the sheriff’s department.
Damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
