HOLLAND — Snow and ice on the roadway were factors in a Wednesday afternoon mishap north of Holland.
Curtis L. Rohlman, 22, Huntingburg, was northbound on State Road 161 in a 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis when the 4:55 p.m. accident occurred at Old Road 64, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
Rohlman attempted to turn east onto the county road and he lost control of the car on the slick travel surface.
A deputy said the car slid off the roadway and stopped after striking a county road sign post.
Damage was estimated under $1,000.
A KARS wrecker assisted.
