Ice cream crank-off scheduled

An ice cream crank-off will be held during the Dubois County 4-H Fair at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 15, under the gathering tent.

Contestants must be signed in by 6 p.m. and will begin freezing their mixture at 6:30 p.m.. Ice cream should be ready for judging in one hour.

Winners and a runner-up will be chosen in vanilla and flavored categories. A 4-H Fair favorite will be chosen by public vote after given the opportunity to sample the variety of entries.

Only pasteurized dairy products or cooked eggs may be used in recipes. No recipe can contain raw eggs. Ice, rock salt and electric, if needed, will be supplied by the 4-H Council.
