I want my tax dollars to study a no-build optionJuly 14, 2020
To the editor:
After reading letters to the editor in The Herald about the Mid-States Corridor, it seems to me like we (the taxpayers of Dubois County) are asked to give thousands of dollars to study an unpopular road for “safety,” when we are delaying paying for stop arm cameras on school buses for children’s safety.
I have no kids in any schools, but safety is safety.
If the cities of Jasper, Huntingburg and the county can pay for a study to support the Mid-States Corridor, then being a taxpayer I want my tax dollars to study a no-build option.
Let’s play fair.
