From Local Sources

SIBERIA — A report early Sunday of a wrong-way driver on I-64 resulted in a Spencer County man’s arrest.

Indiana State Police Trooper Kaitlyn Greene and Spencer County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Austin Hagen responded to the 2:30 a.m. report, which indicated a vehicle was eastbound in the westbound lanes between the 57- and 69.5-mile markers.

The officers stopped the vehicle at the 69.5-mile marker and took the driver, Slade Hoffman, 21, Santa Claus, into custody on preliminary charges that included operating while intoxicated. Police said Hoffman’s blood alcohol content had tested .169%.
