I-64 rollover kills 1, injures 3March 9, 2020

ST. CROIX — A Friday night rollover crash on I-64 west of the St. Croix exit proved fatal for one vehicle occupant and injured three others.
Perry County dispatch received a 911 call at 10 p.m. CT stating a vehicle was over the embankment at the 78-mile marker.
Indiana State Police say a vehicle struck center median cable barriers, then crossed both eastbound lanes before going off the south side of the roadway. The vehicle then rolled multiple times.
Police say passenger Mami Erneste, 33, Kansas City, Missouri, was taken by ambulance to Perry Memorial Hospital in Tell City where she died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The other vehicle occupants — 25-year-old John Honore, 24-year-old Asani Tujuane and 17-year-old Mwalisha Kinozo, all of Kansas City, Missouri — were transported to University of Louisville Hospital where they are being treated for their injuries.
The Perry County Sheriff’s Office and Perry County first responders assisted.
