I-64 lane restrictions coming near FerdinandOctober 3, 2019
From Local Sources
FERDINAND — Lane restrictions are coming to I-64 in the Ferdinand area next week.
The Indiana Department of Transportation says a drainage project will take place along the interstate a few miles east of the State Road 162 exit.
Beginning Monday, contractors will close the driving lane and shoulder on I-64 in both the eastbound and westbound lanes for the drainage ditch correction project. During this operation, crews will make repairs to a drainage structure between mile markers 67 and 68 – just about four miles east of State Road 162. The passing lanes on both sides will remain open, according to INDOT.
Work is expected to last until early December, depending upon weather conditions.
In announcing the project, INDOT urged drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
