Hydrant flushing continues in Jasper
April 27, 2020From Local Sources
JASPER — The Jasper Water Department will continue the spring hydrant flushing and maintenance program, weather permitting. Flushing hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The flushing will last for the next several weeks until all city hydrants have been flushed. If you have questions, call the water department at 812-482-5252.
Officials say the water will be safe to drink, but customers should use their own discretion if doing laundry because clothes may become discolored. Should anyone experience cloudy or colored water, they are asked to run the cold water tap until it clears.
