Huntingburg Public Library June Children’s Programs

Huntingburg Public Library is hosting several children's events for the month of June.

June 7th 1-2 pm:  Summer STEAM for Middle Schoolers-Flower Pounding Art: create art using nature items and a little rock pounding!

June 8th 4-7 pm: Family Game Night-bring your favorite board game or use one of ours and play with family and friends

June 10th 11 am: Animals & Their Tales with Silly Safaris @Holland Elementary-see and learn about different animals during our first Summer Program.

June 10th 2 pm: Same as above except location is Huntingburg Public Library

June 14th 10 am: Storytime with a Purpose “I Can Play It Safe”-join our friends from Crisis Connection as we learn important lessons in a fun environment

June 14th 1-2 pm: Summer STEAM for Middle Schoolers-Egg Drop: research, design and build a device to protect your raw egg. 

June 15th 4-7 pm: Father’s Day Craft Night-stop by to make a special gift and card for Dad or any other special person!

June 17th 11 am: Dog Days of Summer Science Spectacular with Jason Lindsey @Holland Elementary- enjoy learning about real world science in a fun environment

June 17th 2pm: Same as above except location is Huntingburg Public Library

June 21st 1-2 pm: Summer STEAM for Middle Schoolers-Tower Building: test your engineering skills as you build with Strawbees and join the tower challenge using mini marshmallows and toothpicks!

June 22nd 4-7: Chalk the Sidewalk- stop by to borrow some chalk and leave your masterpiece on our sidewalk!

June 24th 11 am: The Pirate Show with Family Time Entertainment @ Holland Elementary-We’re being invaded by pirates! Come join the fun on the high seas!

June 24th 2 pm: Same as above except location is Huntingburg Public Library

June 26th 10 am-1 pm: STEAM Saturday-explore, learn, and problem solve at your own pace  with a variety of games and activities

June 28th 1-2 pm: Summer STEAM for Middle Schoolers-Changing States of Matter: learn about and create non-Newtonian fluids and change liquids into solids with homemade ice cream!

June 29th 5:30 pm: Bilingual Storytime- join Jeremy Marshall and Helen Camacho as they read Five Little Ducks, then stay for a short craft time after the story.
