Huntingburg police make child molesting arrest

HUNTINGBURG — The Huntingburg Police Department arrested a man Saturday who is preliminarily charged with child molesting, sexual misconduct with a minor and criminal confinement.
Police began an investigation when it was reported a female under the age of 16 had been inappropriately touched multiple times over a matter of months.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of Sipriano Martinez Garcia, 38, 1017 Friendship Drive, Huntingburg.
Authorities booked Martinez Garcia into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:20 p.m. on preliminary charges of Level 1 felony child molestation (five counts), Level 4 felony sexual misconduct with a minor (14 counts), Level 5 felony criminal confinement (five counts) and Level 6 felony criminal confinement (14 counts).
