Huntingburg Optimist September Youth of the Month

Eleanor Hasenour, the 17-year-old daughter of Sherri Neher and the late David Hasenour is the Huntingburg Optimist youth of the month for September.

At Southridge, Eleanor is a member of the cross country and the track and field team. She is also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Spanish Club, the Book Club and Friends of Rachel. As a result of her academic success, she was inducted into the National Honor Society, has been on the honor roll and was named student of the month for Spanish.

Outside of school, she is a member of St. Mary Parish and their parish youth group.

She plans to attend college and major in science education.



Evelyn Hasenour

Huntingburg Optimist October Youth of the Month

Evelyn Hasenour, the 17-year-old daughter of Sherri Neher and the late David Hasenour is the Huntingburg Optimist youth of the month for October.

While in high school, Evelyn has been a member of the cross country team and the track and field team. She has also been a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Spanish Club, the Book Club and Friends of Rachel.

As a result of her academic achievement, she was inducted into the National Honor Society and has been on the honor roll.  

Outside of school, she is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and is a member of their youth group.  

Evelyn plans to attend college next fall and will major in education.
