HUNTINGBURG — A Huntingburg man was booked into jail Friday on a warrant charging him with felony domestic battery.
Court documents indicate Luis A. Garcia Risquet, 24, 810 Shelby St., Huntingburg, is charged in connection with an April 27 report of a battery that was investigated by the Huntingburg Police Department.
The female complainant indicated a small child was present at the time of the alleged incident, according to court documents.
Police did not immediately locate Garcia Risquet at the time of the complaint. A warrant for his arrest was issued Thursday in Dubois Circuit Court.
Authorities booked Garcia Risquet into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:21 a.m. Friday on the active warrant charging him with a Level 6 felony count of domestic battery. He was released that day after posting a $750 bond.
During an initial appearance Monday in Dubois Circuit Court, Garcia Risquet advised he requires the assistance of an interpreter. The court reassigned the initial hearing for Monday, June 10, so an interpreter can be present to assist.
