HUNTINGBURG — A weekend incident during a woman’s run resulted in a man’s stalking arrest Thursday.
The Huntingburg Police Department received a complaint Sunday from a woman who said an early 2000’s white Ford F-150 was seen multiple times along her route of travel during her run.
Detectives with the Huntingburg Police Department and Dubois County Sheriff’s Office conducted a three-day investigation. In addition to the initial complaint, police said, the detectives received two separate complaints involving a white Ford truck.
Police said the detectives allegedly determined Michael L. Harris, 63, 612 E. Third St., Huntingburg, was the subject connected to the case.
The detectives secured a Dubois Circuit Court warrant Wednesday charging Harris with Level 6 felony stalking. Police served the warrant Thursday morning.
Authorities booked Harris in to the Dubois County Security Center at 9:47 a.m. Thursday on the active warrant. After appearing in court he was released on basic pretrial monitoring through Dubois County Community Corrections.
