HUNTINGBURG — Trenton T. Torres, 23, of 107 S. Main St., was arrested today by the Huntingburg Police Department for alleged child molesting.
After the Dubois County Department of Child Services received an initial complaint, Huntingburg’s police detective and the Department of Child Services began an investigation that covered incidents with a female victim younger than 14 that occurred between July 3 and 7.
On Oct. 2, Huntingburg’s police detective spoke with Torres at the Huntingburg police station.
A warrant charging Torres with a Class A felony count of child molestation was issued Wednesday in Dubois Circuit Court. Huntingburg police took Torres into custody at 10 o’clock this morning without incident.
Authorities booked Torres into the Dubois County Security Center at 10:16 a.m. today. He is being held on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
