Huntingburg Library sets March eventsFebruary 27, 2020
HUNTINGBURG — The Huntingburg Public Library has scheduled events for March.
Story Hour for ages 3 through 5 will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Mondays. Stories and social engagement will be featured Preregistration is required.
Stay and Play for ages 3 and younger will be held at 10:30 a.m. Fridays. This is a time to interact with other youngsters and parents.
Free little library books are exchanged for different titles every month. Currently, books are available at Stork Place, The Lofts, Oakridge Apartments and Huntingburg Senior Center.
Maker space for all ages will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3. The class is sponsored by Purdue Extension Design, Bulld and Engage in a STEM project.
Edible art for ages 4 and older will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 10. A bonus program will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 24. The class will meet on the second Tuesday of the month. Create a masterpiece and then enjoy eating it.
The adult book club will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 11. Join fellow readers in a book discussion, which meets on the second Wednesday of the month.
Bright Ideas starts at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 13. The home schooling group meets the second Friday of the month. Children will participate in a project while adults can meet to share homeschooling ideas.
The Lego Club will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 14. Children in grades kindergarten through five are invited to attend.
Family bingo will be played at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17.
Origami Café for ages 11 and older will meet at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19. Learn the art of paper folding while enjoying an after school snack.
Bad art for ages 11 and older will take place at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 24. The class is held every fourth Tuesday. Be an artist; no judgments allowed.
More spring break activities
Rock painting will be held anytime between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday, March 23. Participants are to paint a rock for themselves or for someone else to find.
Edible art for ages 4 and older will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 24. This is a bonus program for all of the creators.
The movie, “Arctic Dogs,” will be shown from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26. An Arctic fox works in the mailroom of a package delivery service, but wants to be doing the deliveries.
Hoosier Hills Rug Hooking Guild will meet from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14. Visitors are always welcome.
Cake decorating will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 17. Liz Souders will help the participants. The class is limited to a few participants. Preregistration begins on March 2. A nonrefundable fee of $5 will be collected at registration to pay for supplies.
Paper bag scrapbooking will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 31. Learn to make scrapbooks in this free class. Preregistration starts March 16.
