Huntingburg firefighters answer residential alarm

HUNTINGBURG — Units of the Huntingburg Volunteer Fire Department responded to a residential fire alarm activation Saturday on the city’s north side.

The 2:34 p.m. callout sent firefighters to the Jason and Amy Lents residence at 2103 N. Chestnut St.

Department Fire Investigator John C. Smith said no occupants were home when the department arrived and no evidence of a problem was found.

Three trucks and 10 firefighters were on the scene 20 minutes.
