Bieker, who died on May 5 at the age of 84, was a founding member of the St. Anthony Fire Department and served from 1963 to 1968, where he helped build the first fire truck and helped fund this 1967 Chevrolet. He was also a Sergeant on the Huntingburg Police Department and ran his own construction company, Don Bieker Construction. "He never stopped working," said his daughter, Donna Carie of Huntingburg.
