Holland Elementary fourth-graders Riley Blessinger, left, Laney Bardwell and Ayden Kramer prepare the flags to be folded before school is dismissed on Monday. Raising and lowering the flag is a fourth-grade honor at Holland Elementary and the girls have been responsible for the flag since the start of the school year after they showed good behavior and respect for the flag. "It's fun," Laney said. "When one of us is absent we have to teach other people how to fold the flag, how to put it up and take it down." All of the girls said the duty felt special and they liked being in charge of it.
