Home Depot fire call a false alarm

From Local Sources

JASPER — The Jasper Volunteer Fire Department responded to an alarm activation Thursday afternoon at Home Depot, 4250 N. Newton St.

There was no fire associated with the 12:40 p.m. callout, according to Fire Chief Kenny Hochgesang. Instead, he added, the page was another in a series of recent false alarms resulting in technicians trying to track down a problem.

The two trucks activated after the alarm were told to stand down while firefighters checked the scene. The run lasted 19 minutes.
