HOLLAND — Units of the Holland Volunteer Fire Department rolled west of town early Tuesday when an alarm activated at the Steve Satkamp residence at 8765 W. 900S.

There was no fire associated with the 12:44 a.m. activation, according to Fire Chief Adam Chambers. Instead, he added, the callout was chalked up as a false alarm.

Three trucks and eight firefighters were on the scene 30 minutes ensuring there were no problems.
