From Local Sources
HOLLAND — Units of the Holland Volunteer Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire late Saturday night at a property southeast of Holland.
The 11:21 p.m. callout sent the department to the Barbara Worman residence at 5755 W. 1150S, according to Fire Chief Adam Chambers.
Chambers said firefighters arrived to find there was a fire on the home’s front-deck-type porch. He said the home’s occupants noticed smoke and called authorities.
The cause of the fire was not immediately determined but damage was limited to a 5-foot area of deck material, according to the chief.
Three trucks and nine firefighters were on the scene about 90 minutes.
