Holland Family Feed Mill closingSeptember 27, 2013
From local sources
HOLLAND — Despite attempts to keep it open, the Holland Family Feed Mill will close.
After today, the mill will no longer be in business.
In August, Dr. Alan Friz, a local farmer and dentist, announced plans to take over the mill from Kenny Buckman of Integrity Feeds, which had planned to shut it down.
Friz had been leasing the mill, formerly known as Kramers Mill, with the intention of buying it outright. But he said he found it was too much to juggle the mill and his dental practice.
The mill had offered custom mixing of livestock feed for farmers and bagged products including pet food.
