Holland-area deer runs into SUV

HOLLAND — No injuries were reported when a deer ran into an SUV Thursday morning south of the Holland Junction.
Audrey B. Poehlein, Huntingburg, was southbound on State Road 161 in a 2013 Buick Enclave when the 7:14 a.m. accident occurred north of County Road 650S, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said the Poehlein Buick was damaged when a deer ran into its side after running onto the roadway from the east side of the highway.
Damage was estimated at $4,000.
