JASPER — The Hodgini gymnastics team recently won the Indiana State Championship in Indianapolis. This has qualified them to compete next week in the Region 5 regional competition for the Midwest, representing Indiana.

They will travel May 13-15 to compete against the top gymnasts from Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. This is the first and only team from Hodgini to ever win a state championship. Qualifying for USA Gymnastics Regionals is the ultimate goal for gymnasts at the end of their season, so to qualify as a team is a major accomplishment.

Team members are: Cheyenne Mroz, Elizabeth Louviere, Lauren Mundy, Molly Kramer, Emma Bauer, Madison Mauck, Anna Levin, Katherine Woebkenberg and Sydney Berger.
