LINCOLN CITY — Heritage Hills presented awards to members of its boys basketball team Thursday night at its annual end-of-the-year banquet. Individual awards went to:
Highest Free Throw Percentage — Simon Scherry, 49-57, 86%
Highest Field Goal Percentage — Blake Sisley, 205-314, 65%
Highest 3-Pt Field Goal Percentage — Cayden Kratzer, 29-64, 45%
Most Charges Drawn — Cayden Kratzer 4
Most Blocked Shots — Blake Sisley 26
Most Steals — Simon Scherry 89
Most Rebounds — Blake Sisley 189
Most Assists — Simon Scherry 195
Most Deflections — Simon Scherry 86
Mental Attitude Award — Murray Becher
Most Improved Award — Jake Johnson
Defense Award — Cole Sigler
Play Hard Award — Simon Scherry
Murray Becher, Simon Scherry and Blake Sisley were also named All-Pocket Athletic Conference. Other regional and state awards included IBCA Academic All-State (Murray Becher and Simon Scherry), IBCA Academic All-State Honorable Mention (Cole Sigler and Mark Doyle), IBCA All-State (Murray Becher, Blake Sisley and Simon Scherry), HBCA East/West All Stars (Murray Becher and Simon Scherry), HBCA All-District (Murray Becher, Simon Scherry and Cole Sigler) and All-SW Indiana (Blake Sisley, Murray Becher and Simon Scherry), All-SW Indiana MVP (Simon Scherry), Hall of Fame Class All-Tournament (Blake Sisley)
The Patriots finished the season at 22-3 when postseason play was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Heritage Hills was Pocket Athletic Conference champion with an 8-0 record, sectional champion and Hall of Fame Classic participant.
