Herbstfest pageant set for Sunday

HUNTINGBURG — The 2021 Huntingburg Herbstfest Miss and Pre-Teen Miss Queen Pageants are set for Sunday, Sept. 19, at the Southridge High School auditorium starting at 7 p.m. Four contestants are competing for the title of Miss Herbstfest 2021, who will be crowned by Miss Herbstfest 2019 Paige Kendall. Five contestants are competing for the title of Pre-Teen Miss Herbstfest 2021, who will be crowned by Pre-Teen Miss Herbstfest 2019 Kara Schmitt. The Huntingburg Herbstfest will run from Thursday, Sept. 23, to Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Huntingburg City Park with the parade to follow on Sunday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m.

Miss:





Abbi Hall is the 17-year-old daughter of Tasha Hall of Huntingburg. She is a senior at Southridge High School. She is sponsored by her family.













Jenna Kendall is the 17-year-old daughter of Scott and Kim Kendall of Huntingburg. She is a junior at Southridge High School and plans to attend college to be a health and PE teacher. She is sponsored by Pat and Linda Kendall.












Madelyn Lau is the 18-year-old daughter of Alex and Jill Blackgrove and Todd Lau of Huntingburg. She is a senior at Southridge High School and plans to attend Butler University to major in biology. She is sponsored by her family.












Karly Barnett is the 18-year-old daughter of Darrin and Shari Barnett of Huntingburg. She is a senior at Southridge High School and plans to attend IUPUI to major in Dentistry. She is sponsored by her family.









Pre-Teen:





Madeline Graber is the 13-year-old daughter of Shawn and Elaine Graber of Huntingburg. She is in the eighth grade at Southridge Middle School. She hopes to become a nurse or nurse practitioner. She is sponsored by her family.












Lillian Thewes is the 12-year-old daughter of Dane and Amanda Thewes of Huntingburg. She is in the seventh grade at Southridge Middle School. She hopes to become a marine biologist. She is sponsored by Paige McCarty Carpenter Realty.












Jalyn Klein is the 15-year-old daughter of Jaime Schnarr of Huntingburg. She is a freshman at Southridge High School. She plans to become a nurse practitioner and photographer. She is sponsored by her family.












Amerynn Fetter is the 13-year-old daughter of Mark and Tina Fetter of Huntingburg. She is in the eighth grade at Southridge Middle School. She plans to become a vet, teacher or chef. She is sponsored by Huntingburg Greenhouse.












Heather Schoenbachler is the 15-year-old daughter of A.J. and Sandy Kempf of Huntingburg and the late Jeff Schoenbachler. She is a sophomore at Southridge High School. She hopes to become a trauma surgeon. She is sponsored by James Schoenbachler Construction.
