TELL CITY — The Perry County Coroner’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the body of a woman found earlier this month.
Troopers from the Indiana State Police Jasper Post and deputies with the Perry County Sheriff’s Office responded April 6 to the report of a body found near the Rome boat ramp on the Ohio River in Perry County.
Troopers, Department of Natural Resources conservation officers and deputies retrieved the woman’s body.
The coroner’s office says the decedent is a white, 5-foot-6 female who weighed approximately 150 pounds. She had dark brown or black hair and was estimated to be in her mid-40s, according to authorities.
