Helen L. Rayls, 89, Davenport, Iowa
October 9, 2019Helen L. Rayls, 89, of Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Huntingburg, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Society in Davenport, Iowa.

She was born September 26, 1930, in Ethan, South Dakota, to Louis Rippe and Martha Rickels and married Bert J. Rayls on August 15, 1948, in York, Nebraska.
She enjoyed Christian music, art, poetry, reading her bible and going to church. She especially enjoyed New Life Baptist Church where she had many friends. She was a great witness for the Lord up until the time God called her home.
Helen is survived by two children, Larry (Karen) Rayls of Davenport, Iowa, and Steven (Sharon) Rayls of Huntingburg; one sister, Mrs. Betty Pederson-Freeman of Lakewood, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert J. Rayls; and seven siblings.
A private family graveside service was held October 8, 2019, at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg.
Cunnick-Collins Mortuary of Davenport along with Nass & Son Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
