Helen L. Aylsworth, 108, French Lick
September 27, 2019Helen L. Aylsworth, 108, of French Lick, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at Springs Valley Meadows.

She was born in Posey County on January 6, 1911, to John Dickhaut and Mary (Wulf) Dickhaut. Helen married Gilbert Aylsworth on August 23, 1934, he preceded her in death on October 20, 1993.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, John Aylsworth; three brothers, Alvin, Walter and John Dickhaut; and six sisters, Alice Grabert, Ester Heneisen, Lillian Rhodes, Florence Kietenstein, Olivia Dickhaut and Emily Dickhaut in infancy.
Helen was a member of the Springs Valley United Methodist Church, Tri-Kappa and Order of the Eastern Star.
She was honored with the Older Hoosier of the Year Award, United Methodist Church Bread and Basin Award, the Golden Deeds Award, the Springs Valley Hall of Fame and, the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay.
Helen is survived by one daughter, Mary Kay Aylsworth (Joyce); one daughter-in-law, Patti Aylsworth; thee grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren
The Funeral Ceremony will be conducted 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Ames Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home.
