Hearing no-shows bring warrant arrest

From Local Sources

JASPER — Authorities booked a Spencer County man into the Dubois County Security Center Friday night after he failed to attend court hearings.

Harold A. McLeod, 40, Gentryville, pleaded guilty to Level 6 felony intimidation a year ago and received a sentence that included time on work release followed by supervised probation. A petition to revoke his probation was filed in March and a warrant was issued for his arrest May 29 after McLeod allegedly failed to attend two scheduled revocation hearings.

Authorities booked McLeod into the security center at 9:37 p.m. Friday on the failure-to-appear warrant. He appeared in Dubois Circuit Court on Monday, at which time he was assigned court-appointed counsel and placed on work release, pending disposition of the matter.

McLeod’s next court date was set for Nov. 19.
