Hearing no-show leads to warrant

HUNTINGBURG — A Huntingburg man turned himself in at the Dubois County Security Center this week to answer a warrant issued after he failed to appear for a court hearing.

Zachary D. Reller, 25, 611 E. Fifth St., Huntingburg, was charged with misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia after a June traffic stop by the Huntingburg Police Department. A failure-to-appear warrant was issued a week ago in Dubois Superior Court after Reller did not attend a hearing related to the case.

Reller came to the security center Tuesday and, on Thursday, appeared in court where a trial was scheduled for March 26, 2020. Bond was set at $200, and Reller was told that, if he fails to appear for any future hearings, a warrant will be re-issued and he will remain held pending final disposition of the criminal matter.
