JASPER — Authorities booked a Jasper man into the Dubois County Security Center on a failure-to-appear warrant in a drug-related case Sunday.

Jareth L.J. Wininger, 22, 1330 Leopold St., Jasper, was charged with Level 6 felony counts of methamphetamine possession and unlawful possession of a syringe in July 2019, as a result of discoveries made during a traffic stop by the Huntingburg Police Department.

A failure-to-appear warrant was issued Aug. 13 after Wininger did not appear for a pre-trial hearing in the case.

Authorities booked Wininger into the security center at 3:13 p.m. Sunday on the active warrant.
