Hear how to understand Medicare

JASPER — Memorial Hospital is partnering with the State Health Insurance Assistance Program, an impartial health insurance counseling program part of the Indiana Department of Insurance and funded by CMS, to present a free program, entitled Understanding Medicare Insurance.


Melanie Wilkinson, Southwest Indiana volunteer supervisor for SHIP, will present unbiased information on Medicare supplements and Medicare replacement plans to help seniors and their families make informed choices. Wilkinson will present general Medicare information and provide education on what changes can be made during open enrollment. A free dinner will be provided.

The presentation will be held from noon to 1:15 p.m. and 6 to 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, in the Medical Arts Building Conference Center, 721 West 13th St., in Jasper.
