Haysville firefighters called to tractor fire

From Local Sources

HAYSVILLE — Units of the Haysville Volunteer Fire Department were called into southern Martin County to the report of a tractor fire Tuesday afternoon.

The 4:56 p.m. call sent firefighters to the Lottes Farms on Webb Road, according to Fire Chief John Fuhrman. The location is a couple of miles north of Haysville on the east side of U.S. 231.

Fuhrman said an older model Case IH cab tractor that was running a hog manure lagoon pump caught fire and was a total loss.

Three trucks and seven firefighters were on the scene 30 minutes.
